The Original Bromance

Watched the beautiful scene in The Two Towers where Sam knocks Frodo out of the way of the Nazgul at the end. As Frodo is pointing his sword at Sam’s throat Sam pleads, “It’s your Sam….don’t you know your Sam?”
It is undeniable. Frodo and Sam have a beautiful and pure bromance. Sam follows Frodo through all his moody moments and his disloyalty when he stupidly trusts Gollum/Smeagle instead of Sam. In Return of the King there is the obviously heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, love-inspiring line: “I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you!” as Sam, frustrated with his inability to “share the load” of the ring, finds an alternative way to help out his “friend” Frodo.
In the third installment, during Frodo’s awakening from his rest in Rivendell, there is a beautiful moment between Frodo and Sam as they lock eyes and smile before they embrace. The relationship between Frodo and Sam is my favorite bromance in any tv show or movie ever; it is captured so beautifully and subtly (well not so subtle at parts) and it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside :)
